Metal Data Modelling
Apart from Aluminium (data plotted for the late-Triassic, late-Cretaceous, and present-day models), the remaining metal data is only plotted on the Cambrian, Permian, and present-day small Earth geology models. This is to highlight the end-Precambrian distribution of metals, the same metal distributions at the end-Permian prior to Pangaean supercontinental breakup, plus their present-day distributions.
The list of metal data below has pre-set links to each of the three displays and the data can be viewed by simply hovering over each yellow button in turn. More detailed views of selected scenes, plus combinations of associated metals, can be viewed by selecting the 1, 2, or 6 IMAGES links at the bottom left corner of the webpage and entering the desired scenes or metals from the metal data index.
Aluminium
[Aluminium is shown on geographical models for the late-Triassic, late-Cretaceous, and present-day (Pliocene model) to simulate migration of the continents into and out of the equatorial climate zones]
